Style Director - Grazia
Topical, informative and smart, Grazia is the home of this week’s biggest news stories and talking points as they happen, smart shoppable fashion, the most up-to-date trends from the runway, red carpet and the street.
The main focus of the role of Style Director is to be responsible for styling both fashion and still life shoots, whilst overseeing shopping pages, that beautifully showcase our key commercial clients across fashion.
Reporting directly to the Fashion Director, you will work working with them to shape the cohesive look and feel of the fashion section, and at times working with the Editor and Fashion Director to create new editorial pages and franchises that can deliver on these objectives.
This role must also liaise with the commercial team to ensure that we are responding appropriately with editorial coverage for key clients. This role will need to be a Grazia brand ambassador at press day and events.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Concept and style high fashion shoots and still life pages to further the fashion credibility of Grazia, meet commercial needs – and satisfy our readers.
- Pitch and present creative, ambitious visual ideas for the fashion well to the Fashion Director and EIC each season
- Work with the Fashion Director to ensure that the fashion section is forward planned well in advance – and works with the commercial calendar, too.
- Work with the bookings and art team on casting and direction for shoots, providing mood boards and ensuring FD and EIC sign-off beforehand
- Work with the art, photo, and market departments to see fashion editorial through to the printed page
- Work with commercial team and Fashion Director to ensure targets for advertiser inclusions are met, meeting with brands and supporting commercial aims for the business when required
- Nurture relationships with external PRs, designers, key advertisers and marketing teams
- Work with the Fashion Director and Editor to create brilliant creative pieces and franchises that ensure Grazia remains the most talked about glossy weekly magazine.
- Develop relationships with new photographers, models, stylists and set designers.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have extensive experience in the world of 'Womans' entertainment and lifestyle' magazines across print and commercial, specifically within the fashions team.
You will have a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skill as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all level of stakeholders and suppliers internally and externally.
