Programmatic Sales Manager

Job Introduction

The programmatic team are responsible for providing strategic leadership and driving revenues across Bauer’s programmatic offering. We use data to drive our strategy to understanding how and why advertisers value different inventory and audiences and leverage market leading technology to deliver this. 

As Programmatic Sales Manager, you will work with the digital team to maximize programmatic ad revenues across display, mobile and video. You will need to have substantial relevant online advertising sales experience with familiarity and knowledge of the media agency landscape being essential and have pre-existing excellent relationships within all main agencies, holding co.’s and DSPs. The candidate will have a strong track record of high-level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management with demonstrated ability to close sales and hit revenue targets.

Role Responsibility

  • Present and sell Bauer audiences programmatically
  • You will be instrumental to a new and developing part of the business working on leveraging and scaling out our first party data offering – Illuminate.
  • Building and managing active sales pipeline to ensure that revenue targets will be exceeded
  • To prepare weekly sales forecasts for programmatic lines across display, mobile and video.
  • Grow relationships at all levels within agencies and increase understanding of how Bauer can create deeper partnerships with both agencies and advertisers
  • Strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
  • In depth knowledge of programmatic platforms (Ad servers, DSP’s, SSP’s, DMP’s, & other intermediaries used for programmatic trading)
  • Deliver internal Audience / First Party Data training to the wider commercial team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience working at a Publisher, DSP, Ad Network, Agency or Trading desk in a digital sales role
  • Established relationships at a senior level are essential within all main agencies, holding co.’s and DSPs
  • Demonstrated ability to understanding market demand and value for first party data and audiences
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead both formally and informally
