Media Sales Executive
Bauer Direct is the Central media sales unit for Bauer Media and is responsible for delivering £4 million of annually budgeted advertising revenue from 60 cross platform products. Bauer Direct supports our account teams across London and Peterborough by initialising and growing revenue from a huge range of customers, creating advertising solutions for upwards of 5000 SMEs annually and recruiting and growing sales talent throughout the business.
The main focus of this role is to identify our customers’ advertising needs and to provide the right commercial solutions to meet their customers marketing objectives. In essence, particular attention should be given within these main areas:
- Customer Focus – consultative approach
- Financial – meeting and exceeding budgeted revenues and yields
Within this position, you will receive a full Media Sales induction programme lasting 3 weeks, regular side by side coaching for your first 12 months and a clear career path, including plenty of development opportunities.
- Achieving revenue and yield targets
- Accurate personal forecasting
- Growing customer spend by managing existing customers and creating new opportunities
- Understanding market conditions and competitors within your area
- Meeting an agreed number of activity levels – set by your Team Leader
- Compliance with relevant Data protection guidelines
- Keeping accurate customer records using internal CRM system
- Attending and contributing to sales, marketing and editorial meetings
- Reduction of queries through accurate bookings and order confirmations
- Compliance with relevant data protection guidelines
- All of the above to be delivered with our key business values in mind
