Marketing Designer - London Lifestyle (Maternity cover fixed term contract)

Job Introduction

The Design Hub is a team of two nested inside the London Lifestyle Marketing department. Our primary role is to support Marketing as a multidisciplinary, agency style design resource.

The focus of this role is to create commercial print and digital design work as part of the marketing function for the following magazine portfolio – Grazia, heat, Closer, Crime Monthly, MOJO, Empire, Take a Break, Bella, That’s Life, TV Choice and their brand extensions.

Role Responsibility

As Marketing Designer you’ll be working across a large and varied portfolio of amazing magazine titles.  Great design is key to our marketing success! Working closely with the wider marketing team and under the direction of the Head of Design Hub, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Creating brilliant design work from supplied briefs, for both print and/or digital formats, including advertorials, house ads, web and social banners, point of sale and packaging graphics
  • Ensuring all artwork produced meets the standards, needs, requirements and brand values of our large and varied portfolio of titles
  • Maintaining and organising all files and related images required for production of the creative product to ensure they are available/retrievable at all times
  • Communicating effectively with the wider Marketing team regarding deadlines and keeping stakeholders up to date as required

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous design experience, preferably either in house or agency based
  • Experience designing both print and digital assets
  • Fluency in Adobe CS especially Photoshop and InDesign
  • The ability to produce creative assets efficiently, juggling multiple projects and tight deadlines – this role calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • A flexible and hands-on approach, with inspired creative thinking, able to bring new suggestions/ideas to the table
