Head of Technology Shared Services UK
Technology at Bauer drives the business forward and enables it to grow and prosper. The UK Technology team support both the Publishing and Audio Businesses as well as contributing to Group Technology services, the team are on a transformation journey to utilise the latest tools, technologies, product and services – that will ensure we enable it’s businesses to achieve their strategic goals
As the Head of Shared technology Services for the UK you will be part of, and work with both the UK leadership team and the group technology leadership team. The UK has both a Publishing Business and an Audio Business each with their own dedicated technology teams, but both businesses benefit from shared technology services supporting all of the UK operations, these include Infrastructure and Operations, Finance and HR technology support along with technology procurement, project and programme management and license and asset management.
- You will lead a team of talented and dedicated technology, procurement and project staff delivering services to both the publishing and audio business in the UK
- You will be the key point of contact for resources based in the UK that deliver products and services which support the group technology functions
- You will help prioritise and manage the competing and at times conflicting requirements of the Publishing and Audio business for the shared technology teams, being a key contact for the business leaders in the UK
- You will own and manage the budgets for the team, setting direction and creating plans for the future that meet the business requirements
- With 4 direct reports and a department of circa 60 people, you will lead the team, ensuring that the day to day services and products meet the needs of the business
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience and skills of leading a technology team being a key business contact with the ability to turn business strategy into technology delivery plans.
- The ability to manage competing requirments providing clarity and prioritisation for the team
- Experience of deliverring robust, reliable, secure and cost effective operational services that support a 24x7 business
- The ability to develop talent plans to ensure the team embrace new technology products and services.
