Head of Social Media - Grazia

Job Introduction

Our Team:

Grazia is a cross-platform team creating content for an ABC1 women aged 25-45. To successfully work with the team, you should have a strong understanding of this audience and be able to help create compelling content across print, digital and social that speaks to her. We are a friendly, hard-working, inclusive team where all ideas are encouraged. Our work is fast-paced but fun, and we actively encourage experimentation across platforms, content and formats.

Role Responsibility

  • Oversee seeding of all brand content on social media sites and beyond measuring and tracking traffic and engagement against targets. Ensure weekend and shift staff’s output is meeting the brand’s needs accordingly.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies that will grow Grazia’s digital audience and engagement.
  • Work with the Digital Director, Editor, Head of Audience Development to shape Grazia’s social strategy across all platforms – proactively responding to changing brand priorities and targets, and social media algorithm changes.
  • Attend commercial meetings where relevant.
  • Liaise with the commercial team to ensure key client needs are being executed across Grazia social channels.
  • Appear as the face of commercial packages, where relevant.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest, to ensure that she’s the brand’s main point of contact and Grazia is the first port of call for exclusive stories, new product launches and potential partnerships.
  • Work closely with the art team and digital director to ensure that the look, feel and tone of voice of Grazia’s social media output is spirited, distinctive, consistent and on-brand.
  • Develop and execute a programme of regular, commercially appealing social-only franchises that drive engagement and affiliate revenue.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Some experience managing social media accounts at a brand/media publication 
  • Competence using social media scheduling tools
  • Strong understanding of how to create successful content across all platforms (esp Instagram, Facebook, Twitter & TikTok)
  • Good relationships with social media platforms
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to analyse traffic and data – and feedback clearly to wider teams
