Head of B2B Memberships
The Head of Memberships reports to the MD and is responsible for the success of the Smart Transport brand and the future development of memberships across the B2B business.
They are the operational leader of the Smart Transport business, with a focus on its continued growth and successful launch of the Smart Transport Network. As this business grows, they will apply their learning and experience to the development of new and existing memberships across the B2B portfolio.
Assume ownership and act as the custodian of the Smart Transport Brand – covering membership, board meetings, subcommittee meetings, conferences, delegate acquisition, journal, website and digital platforms to ensure long term viability and commercial success and growth.

The Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited to an individual with prior media experience (print, digital and event platforms), a proven track record of senior customer relationship management (particularly memberships) and the ability to create and strengthen brand perceptions within a market.
The candidate may be an existing membership director or a commercial/event director, looking to step up to a senior management role with strategic, operational and P&L responsibilities.
Core Competencies of the Role.
- Highly developed business acumen with experience of developing strategy, driving revenues, controlling costs and managing teams.
- Experienced in developing and nurturing commercial and non-commercial customer relationships at a senior level within client and stakeholder organisations.
- Experienced in managing multi-faceted brands and protecting and enhancing brand positions within market.
