Event Operations Executive

The Bauer Media Consumer events team are responsible for producing leading industry events and exhibitions relating to magazine brands we own, these are largely in the motorcycling, angling and equine markets.

The Focus of the Role:

Bauer Specialist’s award-winning event team are looking for an experienced and talented individual to join their team and help with the successful execution of its Consumer Events across the specialist media portfolio.  Working on events in the angling, equine and automotive portfolio you will play a critical role in organisation and implementation of operations on these events. Your remit will involve the full range of show tasks as well as budget control and contractor and exhibitor liaison.

This is a varied and busy role, you will be managing a variety of projects spanning different shows and different markets at the same time. You will be taking ideas and turning them into features at the show and you will be negotiating the best possible rates from your contractors to deliver them.  You will be the most organised person you know and live your life by lists, deadlines and planning – willing to go the extra mile to support your colleagues in achieving team objectives.  Meticulous attention to detail is essential as is all-round communication and killer administration and organisational skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in the planning and delivery of events, a strong understanding of the exhibition industry and relationships with key suppliers. You will hold a full driving licence and will be required to stay on site overnight for the duration of the events.

Role Responsibility

To support the aims and objectives of the events department in producing and delivering exciting and innovative events which appeal to our target audience.  In particular, effectively and efficiently handling the delivery of event features and operational requirements at each event. You will competently manage communication methods with exhibitors and sponsors pre event and accurately produce floorplans for each show. Across the 6 events you will work closely with the rest of the event team; commercial teams and marketing teams to ensure all areas of event operations and planning are covered. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • You will be highly organised and capable of juggling multiple projects
  • Proven administration experience with excellent PC skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Great team player qualities demonstrating a can-do flexible attitude to tasks

Experience in events and exhibitions is preferred alongside strong proven project management skills.
