Digital Insights Analyst

Job Introduction

The Operations team sits central to everything that happens in the digital business. Driving direction, enabling teams, and ensuring digital products maximise market opportunities that align to the overall business vision.

This role is a key position within the digital team. You will be the go-to for analytics and insight for Bauer Media’s branded content sites and commercial platforms as well as supporting in reporting across the board.

The Digital Insights Analyst sits within the Digital Operations team and will play a large part in understanding performance and delivering actionable insight that supports the growth of our brands reach and revenues.

This role will suit someone who is looking to take their next step to take on more autonomy and be a Guru within an insight’s role.

Role Responsibility

Proactive delivery of audience and market insights

  • Continually build and test audience and market hypothesis. 
  • Proactively analyse website content performance, highlight trends and opportunities to support teams.
  • Understand wider business objectives and seek to add qualitive insight that aligns to the business direction.

Report and KPI Governance.

  • Effectively manage the Google Analytics for sites and ensuring all traffic and KPI’s are tracked accurately.
  • Support the Business Analysts in reporting and forecasting against target

Understand and align to the wider business and markets.

  • Build relationships with key departments to support wider business understanding and insights development.
  • Understand market nuances and the bearing of macro and micro environmental factors on them. 

The Ideal Candidate

Required Skills & how these are demonstrated

  • Quality orientation and attention to detail – being thorough and accurate with the work you do.
  • Numerate and articulate – with the ability to analyse, interpret and present data creatively, including both written and in-person.
  • Planning and organization – Delivered on time and fulfilling the original brief.
  • Google and Microsoft Skills – proficient user of Google Analytics, Data Studio, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills and how these are demonstrated

  • Verbal communication – develop requests into meaningful briefs. Present results of research.
  • Teamwork - build and maintain positive relationships with the immediate and wider teams in Bauer as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem solving – confident to deal with challenges.
  • Personal motivation and innovation – approaching projects with an open mind and an eagerness to hone and improve skill set.
