Change Manager

Job Introduction

A new role for Bauer Media, you will be coaching leaders in tried and tested methods of maintaining engagement through change.

Creating and implementing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of new technologies within a new operating model whilst minimize resistance to change.

Role Responsibility

  • Understand business unit strategy and project Imagine background and goals
  • Collaborate with transition team members in integrating change management into their project plans
  • Apply change management processes and tools to support adoption of the changes required by projects and change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Communications function to support the design, development, delivery and management of communications, recognizing that the Communication function is leading this aspect of change
  • Identify, conduct impact analyses, and assess change readiness, ofkey stakeholders.
  • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Identify, analyze, prepare, and—where appropriate—own implementation of risk mitigation
  • Anticipate and manage resistance
  • Lead or consult and coach interdisciplinary project teams
  • Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Engage and support senior leaders
  • Support definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Identify, track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Contribute to defining and implementing a target culture, leadership and cooperation model suitable for the desired state including pertinent people development and recognition measures.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Extensive previous experience within a Change management role

  • Degree or accredited qualification relevant to the role of Change Manager

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with excellent active listening skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
