Our Team

Our team in the North East cover the broadcast areas of Metro Radio and TFM. We seek out, meet with and generate engaging advertising solutions based on local clients needs, whether they are looking to drive more footfall to their showroom, generate more activity on their website or even recruit more staff we have a solution for them.

The Focus of the Role

Your role in the team will be to cover a specific postcode territory within the Teeside area. You will be tasked with uncovering opportunities with local businesses to meet and discuss their requirements and brief a team of Creative writers, Digital developers and Branded Content executives to come up with the right solution. These solutions can cross over a number of products and brands within the Bauer family. You could be presenting a 360 virtual tour video to a kitchen showroom or pitching a recruitment campaign for a call centre to run on Kiss FM, you might be selling a breakfast show promotion for Steve and Karen to giveaway tickets or maybe a bespoke piece of creative with music from a famous artist to a car dealer! The key to this role is activity, the more opportunities you uncover, the more meetings you create, the more briefs you will have to submit and the more opportunities you will close to achieve your end goal of hitting monthly and quarterly targets.

Role Responsibility

Many Aspects of the advertising and radio industry have evolved in recent years but one thing has remained consistent, the need to follow a tried and tested sales process we call the creative led sell.

  • Prospecting – Looking for potential new customers via whatever approach you find most effective. Utilising social media connections, following local current affairs, approaching businesses at the premises and collecting data into a CRM system.
  • Fact Finding – Meeting with and listening to clients needs
  • Collaborating – With creative departments to come up with the best solution.
  • Pitching and Closing
  • Account Managing – Looking after and growing the client moving forward.

The Ideal Candidate


A positive, professional can do attitude is essential to be a successful account manager. You will be the type of character that always steps up and performs whether that be in a client meeting, over the phone or during an internal team meeting you will set a tone of confidence and optimism.


You will have a great work ethic with the ability to manage your time effectively to maximise your working day, you will be able to work to and achieve KPI’s and work on the basis that the more you put in the more you get out. You would be confident communicator and recognise that the most effective way of reaching your goals is directly either, via teams videos in person or over the phone.


You will subscribe to a tried and tested sales process that focusses on the clients needs rather than our objectives. There’s no point trying to establish a clients budget before you understand what they need to achieve from a campaign.

Working alongside creative teams and managers you will work through the creative led sell step by step, utilising your individual insights, personality and experience along with an established approach.
